What is Coffees of the World?

At COTW, we’re driven by curiosity and, of course, a little caffeine. We’ve made it our mission to discover the world’s most delicious coffees and share them with you every month. We source our coffee from top roasters, choose our favorites, and send them right to your door. It’s as simple as that.

THE PROGRAM

What will I receive each month?

Depending on the subscription you choose, you’ll receive a box with either

  • 3 unique 1.7 oz bags of whole bean coffee; or
  • 1 full-sized 10 oz bag of your preferred roast type
All COTW boxes come with detailed information about the origins of each roast, along with fun facts and tips for enjoying your coffee!

THE COFFEE

What type of coffee do you offer?

All of our coffees are 100% Arabica whole bean roasts. We offer light, medium, and dark varieties that have been micro-roasted by some of the country’s top roasters.

If I like a particular coffee, can I get it again?

While you do have the ability to specify the roast type of your coffee, we cannot guarantee that you will receive the same exact coffee more than once. We choose from a variety of coffees from different roasters, and availability is often subject to each roaster.

Can I get ground coffee?

We only offer whole bean coffee at this time. Sending whole bean coffee is the best way for us to ensure that your coffee arrives fresh. As soon as coffee is ground, it begins to lose aroma and flavor, so we encourage you to wait to grind your beans until you are ready to brew.

ENJOYING YOUR COFFEE

How many cups of coffee can I make with each bag of coffee?

We recommend using about 1-2 Tbsp. of freshly ground coffee for every 6 oz of water. Our 1.7 oz bags will make about 5 cups each, and our 10 oz bags will make about 30 cups of coffee each. However, this may vary based on your own personal preferences.

When should I enjoy my coffee by?

There’s nothing better than fresh coffee-that’s why we make it our priority to carefully package and seal the beans soon after roasting. The flavor profile of the beans will naturally change with time, so we encourage you to enjoy your coffees soon after you receive them to experience their truest flavor.

How should I store my coffee?

Your beans will keep best in an airtight container away from light, heat, and moisture, until brewing. We also suggest waiting to grind your beans until you are ready to brew, ensuring the freshest cup.

SHIPPING & DELIVERY

When do I need to order by?

You must order by the 9th of the month to receive that month’s COTW box (i.e. you must order by April 9th to receive the April box).

When will I receive my first shipment?

You will receive your first shipment approximately 2-7 weeks from the date your order is placed.

Do you ship internationally?

At present, we ship to the 50 United States and Washington DC. We are not currently able to ship to Puerto Rico or international addresses.

How do I change my shipping address?

If your address has changed, please Contact Us online or call us at 1-877-287-8481, Monday through Friday between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM ET.

How much is shipping?

When you choose from one of our subscription or gift plans, shipping is always free!

Where can I find my order number?

You can find your order number on the shipping label of your Coffees of the World box. In order to help keep track of your roast preferences should you change them, we provide you a unique order number every month.

What if I don’t have my order number?

If you don’t have your order number, you can enter the name, shipping address, and email address that you provided at the time you joined Coffees of the World. If you experience further issues, please call us at 1-877-287-8481, Monday through Friday between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM ET, and we will be happy to assist you.

I still haven't received my coffee! Help!

PAYMENT

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards: American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa.

What are my billing options?

Depending on the subscription or gift plan you choose, you can pay every month, every 3 months, or every 6 months.

When will my credit card be charged?

Your credit card will be charged within 72 hours of your order being placed. If you have a monthly subscription, every month thereafter, your credit card will be charged on or around the 12th of each month. If you have a quarterly or semiannual subscription, your card will be charged at the beginning of each period.

How do I change the credit card associated with my subscription?

Please call us at 1-877-287-8481, Monday through Friday between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM ET to update the credit card information associated with your subscription.

REFUND & CANCEL POLICY

What if I’m unsatisfied with my Coffees of the World subscription?

If for some reason you aren’t happy with your experience and would like a refund for the last shipment, please call us at 1-877-287-8481, Monday through Friday between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM ET. You may receive a full refund for any unopened coffee from your last shipment when you return it to the address below. This refund is exclusive of the shipping cost to return the coffee to us. Please allow 1-2 weeks from receipt for processing. If you chose a 3 or 6 month subscription plan, we will also refund you a prorated dollar amount for any unsent boxes that you already paid for.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Your subscription must be cancelled by the 9th of the month in order to not receive that month's box (i.e. you must cancel by April 9th to not receive the April box). If you cancel after the 9th of the month, you will be shipped that month's coffee box, but will not receive any future charges or boxes following that. If you chose a quarterly or semiannual subscription plan or gift, we will refund you a prorated dollar amount for any unsent boxes that you already paid for after you or the gift recipient cancels. If you would like to cancel your subscription, please call us at 1-877-287-8481, Monday through Friday between 9:00am and 5:00pm ET.
